One day of eats in Yerevan

A couple of recommendations from my experience — where to grab coffee, traditional dishes, and wine in Yerevan

  • SET for coffee and breakfast

Good variety of breakfast options and desserts, paired with really nice coffee. Love the outdoor seating area — spacious and perfect for people-watching 😉

  • Lunch at Tun Lahmajo

Most people will tell you this is the best place to try lahmajo, a traditional flatbread with minced meat. My tip: choose the lahmajo with cheese and pair it with a local draft beer, Kilikia, along with assorted pickled vegetables

  • Dinner at Tavern Yerevan

Another popular spot, and for good reason. The menu is diverse, offering a range of vegetable and meat dishes, plus a nice selection of wines. I'd recommend sticking to the local specialties — try the shashlik (BBQ), tolma (grape or cabbage leaves stuffed with minced meat, rice, and herbs), and stuffed eggplant. I’d definitely start with some rezhan (a type of cream) and lavash (Armenian flatbread) 🙂 Do note that the wait time can be long, so if you want to secure a table, it’s best to make a reservation

  • Drinks ans Snacks at In Vino

Amazing wine bar with a wide selection, ranging from local to international wines. There are plenty of affordable options available by the glass, and they also offer boards of local cheeses, meats, and olives — perfect for pairing with your drink. I’d recommend reserving in advance, especially if you prefer to sit outside
