How to spend one day in Budva

Here are a few places to stop by if you're in Budva for one day. Enjoy!

  • Breakfast at Oliva Coffeeshop

Start your day at one of the best specialty coffeeshops in the city! Grab yourself a hot filter and some brownie with icy cold ice cream for a quick pick me up :)

  • Take a stroll to the Old Town

Go down to the stunning Adriatic seashore and walk to the Old Town of Budva. Check out cozy narrow streets and take lots of pics! I suggest going up to the City walls, it has a beautiful view of the city and the sea! PRO tip: grab some cat food in advance 🐱

  • Grab take away lunch at La Mia Pasta

After all that walking try delicious pasta just at the entrance of the Old Town. Freshly made by hand with a variety of toppings. But the best part is that you can grab it to-go and enjoy at the beach!

  • Rent a SUP board and explore sea caves

Renting a SUP board or a kayak is one of the best ways to explore the sea at your own pace. It's best to go a bit later in the day, when the sun is relatively kinder :) However, I would still recommend carrying lots of SPF, water, some head cover, and ideally aquatic shoes. If you just want to chill in the crystal-clear sea and get away from the crowded beaches, you can go straight to Sveti Nikola Island. Alternatively, there are some really beautiful sea caves with unique turquoise water nearby the Budva shore. Ask the rental workers for advice, they'll gladly give directions and tips or even a tutorial for paddling! They also provide safety vests and waterproof bags for your stuff.

  • Dinner and Drinks at El Faro

El Faro is one of the few places in Budva with really good service (!) and modern cuisine. They offer good variety of meals, from pasta to sushi, and a pleasant atmosphere on the terrace. There is also a nice selection of alcoholic cocktails to end the night well :)
